Privacy policy.

We collect only what we need to send your order, answer your questions, and keep improving. We do not sell your data. This page tells you exactly what we collect, why, and what you can ask us to do with it.

Who is the data controller

Krypton Energy Labs is the data controller for the personal data described in this policy. You can reach us at contact@kryptonenergylabs.com for any privacy enquiry, including requests to access, correct, or delete your data.

What we collect

  • 01Order information — name, shipping address, billing address, email, phone number, the products you bought, and order history.
  • 02Account information — if you create an account: email, password (stored hashed, not in plaintext), and saved preferences.
  • 03Payment information — handled by our payment processor (Shopify Payments / Stripe). We never see or store your full card number.
  • 04Communications — anything you send us via email or contact form, plus our replies.
  • 05Technical data — IP address, browser type, device, pages visited, and referrer, collected automatically for security and analytics.
  • 06Marketing preferences — whether you opted in to our newsletter, and your engagement with it.

Why we use it

We use your data only for purposes that are legal under GDPR — either because you gave consent (newsletter), because we need it to perform our contract with you (orders), because we have a legitimate interest (fraud prevention, basic analytics), or because we have a legal obligation (tax records).

  • 03To detect and prevent fraud, abuse, and security incidents.
  • 04To send you the newsletter — only if you opted in. You can unsubscribe at any time via the link at the bottom of every email.
  • 05To meet our legal obligations (tax records, accounting).
  • 06To improve the website and product line based on aggregate, anonymised analytics.

Cookies and analytics

We use a small number of cookies. Essential cookies keep your cart and login working — these cannot be disabled because the site does not function without them. Analytics cookies (Shopify Analytics, Google Analytics where applicable) help us understand which pages work and which don't. We use aggregated data only and we anonymise IP addresses before processing.

You can clear or block cookies in your browser at any time. Doing so will not prevent you from buying, but the cart may not persist between visits.

Who we share data with

We share personal data only with the processors required to run the business. Each is contractually bound to GDPR standards.

  • 01Shopify — our ecommerce platform, which hosts the storefront and processes orders.
  • 02Shipping carriers (DHL, GLS, UPS, and regional partners) — we share your name, address, and phone number to deliver your order.
  • 03Payment processors (Shopify Payments, Stripe, PayPal) — they handle card and bank-transfer payments. We never see your full card number.
  • 04Email and CRM tooling — to send order confirmations, shipping updates, and (with your consent) the newsletter.
  • 05Tax and accounting providers — to meet our legal obligations.

We do not sell your data. We do not share it with advertising networks or data brokers.

Your rights

Under GDPR, you have the right to access the personal data we hold about you, ask us to correct anything that is wrong, ask us to delete your data, ask us to restrict or stop processing, ask for your data in a portable format, and withdraw consent at any time. If you believe we have not handled your data correctly, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the supervisory authority in your country of residence.

Data retention

We keep order information for as long as required by tax law (typically 5–10 years depending on your country). Account data is retained while your account is active and for 6 months after you ask us to close it. Newsletter subscribers stay on the list until they unsubscribe.

International transfers

Some of our service providers (Shopify, payment processors, email tooling) operate outside the European Economic Area. When data is transferred, it is protected by Standard Contractual Clauses or equivalent legal safeguards required by the European Commission.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as we add features or as the law changes. The "Last updated" date at the top will reflect the most recent change. If we make material changes that affect how we use existing data, we will tell you by email.
